base_company
8 columns · grain (primary key): company_id
| Column | Name | Type | Null | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|
company_id ·PK | Company ID | string | no | The ChinaScope company identifier — the canonical key every company-keyed dataset in the estate resolves to. Resolve a company here once and its segment revenue, supply-chain links, ownership, news tags, tender awards and filings all join on this one key. |
credit_code | Unified Social Credit Code | string | yes | The 18-character Unified Social Credit Code from China's national business registry, matched to this company — the bridge to external registry and regulatory data. Present for ~77% of companies. |
company | Company name (CN) | string | yes | The company's registered Chinese name in its authoritative form — the resolved name that other datasets' as-disclosed, free-text counterparty spellings are reconciled to. |
company_en | Company name (EN) | string | yes | The company's English name, where available (~74%). |
is_bond_issuer | Is bond issuer | string | yes | Marks whether the company has issued bonds (1) or not (0). |
is_listing | Is listed | string | yes | Marks whether the company has a listed security (1) or not (0). The master includes unlisted entities because they appear as counterparties and related parties in other datasets. |
ref_company_id | Canonical company reference | string | yes | The canonical company this record resolves to. Normally it equals company_id — a company is its own canonical entity. When ChinaScope finds that two records are really the same company (a duplicate, or a later-merged entity), rather than delete one it points the superseded record's ref_company_id at the surviving company, so you can always collapse to a single entity without the old record disappearing. Join on ref_company_id for the surviving entity; on company_id for the record as filed. |
source_publish_date | Public-record date | date | no | The date this record's current state became public — its effective date on the world's timeline. |

Access & FAQ
- How do I buy just a few fields?
- Check the fields you want and you'll see your running subtotal. Select every field and the whole-set price applies automatically. Add them to your basket and check out — this dataset, or fields combined across several.
- Can I evaluate these fields in the Matrix before I buy?
- Yes — load the actual source tables in the Matrix and analyze them with an AI agent (served on the Matrix evaluation lag) to decide what is worth buying before you buy it.
- How is it delivered?
- Apache Parquet over a signed-URL REST API, the same pipe as Construct Data. The free Matrix sandbox serves a time-delayed view for evaluation.
- When is each update available, and how reliable is it?
- Source data refreshes on the ChinaScope cadence and is delivered through the same signed-URL pipeline as Construct Data, with the same manifest/status behaviour. Evaluate freshness yourself in the Matrix before you commit.
- Why are some fields free and others cost thousands?
- Price tracks non-replicability. Resolved codes and structural links are the moat; machine scores and raw text are cheap; identifier keys are free. Figures are priced per table; codes are charged once per dataset.
